FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Acerca de

DO YOU TATTOO MINORS?
I don’t tattoo minors. All  clients must be 18+ with a state issued photo ID to get tattooed.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
I require a deposit valued between $50-200 depending on project size. All deposits are non-refundable but they are deducted from the final price of your tattoo. For tattoos that require multiple appointments, your deposit will be deducted at the end of the final appointment. When you pay your deposit, you will also pay a $5 booking fee. Your deposit will be forfeited if (1) You cancel your appointment, (2) You no call/no show without a 48 hour notice to reschedule, (3) You reschedule more than 3 times, scheduling another appointment afterwards will require a deposit of the same amount.

HOW DOES PRICING WORK?

I price by piece, not by hourly rate. When you submit a request to get tattooed, I will send you a set price for your appointment, not a price range. My pricing is reflective of tattoo time, stencil time, drawing time (typically the longest part of the tattoo process), and admin time.

CAN I SEE MY DRAWING BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT?
I typically start to draw the week before each appointment date. This allows me to organize my schedule and keep up with all of my amazing clients. Because of this, your design will not be available until you arrive at the shop on the day of your appointment. I leave time for small design edits at the beginning of each appointment, but major changes might result in the need to reschedule your appointment. Giving me as much information as you can about your desired tattoo design in the initial booking can help avoid the need for excessive changes. If you'd like, we can set up an additional consultation prior to your tattoo appointment to tweak the design, please request this type of appointment if that is the case.

DO YOU ALLOW CLIENTS TO USE NUMBING CREAMS?

Numbing creams can make an area harder to tattoo and can also affect the quality of your healed tattoo. If you do choose to use numbing cream, please purchase Painless Tattoo Cream brand and follow the instructions directly.

DO YOU DO COVER UPS/TATTOO REWORKS?
I love to take on cover up and tattoo rework projects, however they require a lot of flexibility on the client's end. Depending on how dark the original tattoo is, I may recommend doing laser tattoo removal prior to having it covered. I prefer not to cover color tattoos unless the color has faded significantly. All of these projects will require consultations.

DO YOU TATTOO OVER SCARS?

I am happy to help you transform your scars into beautiful artworks that you are proud to wear! However, I do need to see the scar before the day of the appointment to ensure that it will be ok to tattoo over. Please reach out to me if this is the case.

WHAT IF I FORGOT MY ID?

Unfortunately, I am unable to tattoo anyone without a state issued photo ID and cannot make any exceptions.

DO YOU OFFER TOUCH UPS?

I offer one free touch up per tattoo within 6 months of getting your tattoo. Any touch ups after 6 months will be charged as the shop minimum or a relevant price.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS DO YOU ACCEPT?

Cash is preferred, but I can accept credit/debit card payments as well. I CANNOT accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, etc.  There is a $5 nonrefundable booking fee for each appointment (excluding consultations & free touch ups) that is separate from your tattoo deposit.

HOW SHOULD I PREP FOR MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT BEFOREHAND?

Make sure you eat a big meal the day of your tattoo. Blood sugar dropping is the main trigger for fainting & nausea during a tattoo appointment (feel free to bring snacks as well). In addition, make sure to drink lots of water the day prior, and avoid alcohol consumption for a few days before your appointment. Please avoid letting the tattoo area get sunburned or having too much sun exposure beforehand. Sunburned skin cannot be tattooed. No need to shave the area, I will do that for you!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

I typically recommend wearing black as tattoo ink can stain clothing very easily. For sternum/chest tattoos I recommend wearing a button up shirt like a flannel or cardigan so accessing the tattoo area is easy but you also feel comfortable! For leg or hip tattoos I recommend flowy pants that can be moved to the side or shorts.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/LATE POLICY?

Please arrive on time (not early) to reduce the amount of time spent in our waiting area. If you arrive over 15 minutes late for your appointment you will need to rebook for another time & pay a new deposit. If you cancel your appointment, you can reschedule within 3 months with the same deposit (as long as your cancellation notice is prior to 48 hours before our appointment). If you cancel all together, your deposit will be forfeited.
